We have all gone hunting for a setting we were sure existed.
You open Settings, read four tabs, pick the wrong one twice, and give up.
Before you can control your data, you need to know where the controls live.
So here is the map.
How do I open Settings on the web?
Tap your name at the bottom-left of the screen.
Then choose Settings.
That one screen is your privacy control center, and everything below sits inside it.
Which tab holds which switch?
Four things matter, and they are spread across three tabs.
- Training on/off -> Privacy
- Memory -> Capabilities
- Export your data -> Privacy
- Delete account -> Account
Training is the big one.
It decides whether your chats help build future models.
Memory sits under Capabilities, not Privacy, which is why nobody finds it.
Export lets you take a copy of your own data with you.
Delete account is the full exit, and it lives on its own tab.
Why is this worth ten minutes?
Because defaults are decisions someone else made for you.
Every app has a screen like this, and almost nobody opens it.
We check a Jio or Airtel plan for hidden charges within the hour.
We rarely check what an app does with our words.
Ten minutes here tells you more than ten articles will.
You do not need to change everything either.
Knowing where each switch is means you can act fast when sensitive work lands.
What should I look at first?
Open Privacy and read it top to bottom before touching anything.
Note where the training toggle sits, so you can find it again in seconds.
Then open Capabilities and see what Memory is set to.
Leave Account alone unless you genuinely intend to leave.

For now, the win is knowing the layout.
A control you cannot find is a control you do not really have.
