Are you a member of several WhatsApp groups?
Are you getting several forwarded videos in these groups?

These are some of the issues most people are facing today. Thankfully there are a few solutions available.
Stop Media Auto-Download
Go to WhatsApp Settings -> Storage & Data
Select the type of media (Photos, Audio, Video or Documents).
There you will find the option to turn off auto-download of photos, audio, videos & documents.
By selecting “Never”, that type of media will not download automatically.
This setting applies to all chats and groups.
This method is very effective. You can simply ignore all media and only tap and open the media you want to see.
Manage Storage (NEW OPTIONS!)
WhatsApp has added fantastic new options to clean up media (pictures, audio, video & documents).
These settings can be found under WhatsApp Settings -> Storage & Data -> Manage Storage
Under Manage Storage, you will find an option called “Review & Delete Items”.
This is broken up into two groups:
- Media Larger than 5MB
- Media Forwarded Many Times
Simply go into these options and select the media you want to delete. It doesn’t matter which chat the media was in.
This also removes duplicates.
