We’ve all heard stories of how bad the air pollution is in places like Delhi where pollution levels are 5-10 times the permissible limit. It has become hazardous just to walk outside.

The National Air Quality Index (AQI) was launched in 2017.

Particulate matter (PM) is the sum of all solid and liquid particles suspended in air. These particles are extremely small.

PM 2.5 & PM 10 refer to the size of the particles. These are measured in microns. Just to give you an idea, 1mm = 1000 microns. So you can imagine how small 2.5 micron particles are!
